Movie Challenge: Day 5- Movie that Reminds You of Someone

Back to the Future
(not the trilogy, just the first one)

Perhaps one of the best movies to come out of the 80s, "Back to the Future" is a film that brings out the kid inside. The wacky sci-fi, the memorable characters, and of course the theme song are classic! With that being said, there is no question that a late friend and co-worker of mine absolutely adored this movie. He considered "Back to the Future" to be the best movie of all time. Was it because of the DeLorean? Or the clever time travel paradoxes presented to Marty? Or even just Biff?? Who knows and who cares... all those elements bring together the icon of which geekdom-pop culture thanks. Robert Zemeckis' (and yes, even Steven Spielberg) had an outrageous idea (at one time they wanted to use a refrigerator as the time machine) and went past the typical Hollywood standards of film-making. Without the green light for Zumeckis to make the film, who knows if movies such as "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit" or even "Forrest Gump" would've been made.

Heavy, Doc... Heavy.
